Jyoti Mehra commented on the post, Another You by Christian Donovan 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Well done, once again! I like how you have referred to the person who hacks your account as your alter ego, he/she is enjoying the perks while you get the brickbats. The disadvantages of technology and the heinous crimes committed through it is a relevant topic you have touched upon. Wishing you love and light this Christmas 🥰💐

Happiness is a choice,
It is the season to rejoice,
Lets make merry and spread cheer,

So, today begins the […]

Hi Jyoti, a lovely rhyming poem, filled with the Christmas spirit. A good shake up too, to remind us to be happy for what we have, and to spread kindness and goodwill.

Hello Jyoti, Your poem is very jolly with its rhymes and encouraging words. As one who is not particularly looking forward to the Christmas season without all my family round me, it reminds me to be grateful for what I shall have and to look forward to in the new year. Best wishes for your festive time and I look forward to reading more of your poetry in 2021.

HI Jyoti, what comes along as a jolly Christmas poem does have a very important message to deliver in these Corona times: “Happiness is a choice” – your first line already says it all. And in order to make that choice, we have to “jin hands”. So true right now. We can either sulk about not being able to spend Christmas with our family or we can make the best of it. Thank you for reminding us! I wish you a very merry Christmas!

sorry, it’s supposed to say “join hands”…

Jyoti Mehra commented on the post, Communication is the Key by Peggy Rockey 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Well done, Peggy! You have summarised so well through this poem that Communication is the key for building trust, finding solutions to complex problems and putting the mind at ease once you have expressed what you were holding back. Also, I love the element of thrill of the unknown towards the end. Superb😊👏

Jyoti Mehra commented on the post, A Teacher's Life by Sharon Hancock 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Such a beautiful ode to teachers. Each and every word holds true, I can relate to it easily being a teacher myself. It is indeed a great loss to have to give up on your passion, chidren are like magnets attracting you through their warmth and innocence, which is rarely found in adults these days.

Well done, Kim! Loved the flow of the poem and the way you fearlessly lay bare your emotions. I guess, 2020 was good for America after all. Like Trump, soon the pandemic will also be eradicated.Congratulations 😊❤👏

Before you came into our lives,
Everyday was peaceful though mundane,
There was no hope of temporary reprieves,
Routine and lack of change, would drive me insane,
Almost unaware of […]

You have unpacked quite a chilling poem, but it is well-written and a good take on the prompt this month!
-
There is a great deal of truth in your observation . and eventually the two-faced monster does reveal themselves, hopefully long before anyone is hurt through it.
great work
-
Good writing and I also loved the image you picked to go with the poem.

Thanks for reading and your lovely comments.

Hi Jyoti, I’m full of admiration that you’ve managed both acrostic and rhyme.
-
I love that this can be interpreted in different way, as we wonder who it was that brought disruption and betrayal. It’s like a whole story in just eight lines. Your ability to rhyme within your acrostic and to give such detail and rhythm is brilliant! well done.
-
Thanks for your appreciation and kind comments. It made my day.
-
This is power packed. And I love that you rhymed as well as fulfilling the acrostic prompt. Well done!
