Grammy and Sammy by Renee Kyle

This is a story about Sammy and Grammy, a granddaughter and grandmother combo. It's served with lots of twists and turns. Not to mention a ghost or two. Don't be afraid; they are, for the most part, benign. Perhaps, even beneficial. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

I live on an Island in the Pacific Ocean. It's not tropical, but it is lovely. I live on Vancouver Island just off the coast of British Columbia in Canada.
I have told and written stories most of my life, but it's only now that I have decided to do it publicly. Joining Deadlines for Writers was my first step. Since then, I have submitted stories to competitions and started a novel. I used a short story I submitted as the basis.
I have four children, four grandchildren, and some in-law children and grandchildren. They live in the more frozen part of Canada, at least in the winter. Their summers are hotter than mine. Canada is a strange place weather-wise.
I paint in acrylics and watercolours and sculpt in various mediums. I also like to swim and kayak. I travel with my husband and two fur babies in our motorhome in Canada and visit our southern neighbours. I have visited Europe, where I lived for 8 years and taught ESL, Africa, and North and South America.
I have worked in the advertising business, fast food industry, grocery stores, and medical system. My last job was as a mental health and substance outreach worker.
Now I call myself an author. Not a bad accomplishment in seven decades.
