Etya Vasserman Krichmar, born in 1954 in Kazakhstan, then part of the former Soviet Union, experienced systemic religious discrimination before immigrating to the United States in 1977. A published author, her work has appeared in The TC Palm, The Orlando Sentinel, The Write Launch, Spillwords Press, White Rose, and MasticadoresUSA, as well as in the anthologies Turning Points and Knocked Sideways.
Etya is an active member of the Florida Writers Association, Writing Away Refuge, Deadlines for Writers, Memoir Ink, Alumni Café, Pitch to Published, and Athena Sisterhood writing communities.
