Two by Annette Deyro

____ years of friendship through letters and email
built a great foundation for our tale.
____ months after you got home, we met
and made official the vision we’d set.
____weeks between dates were always worth the wait
with COVID-19 putting people in terrible state.
____days, hours, and minutes pass as through a fine-toothed comb
until the time we together can create a home.
____ seconds to change the world with a word: Yes!
I choose forever with you and nothing less.

This was so creative and sweet.
Hi Annette, What a lovely love story. I particularly like your line: ____ days, hours, and minutes pass as through a fine-toothed comb. Thank you for sharing your joy.
I liked the way you built a relationship through time. The last two lines made me pause, seconds to change the world. Such a short time, but oh so true. Thank you for a lovely poem. I enjoyed it.
A very clever idea and well put together.
I like the way you use two as means of progression through time and relationship status – very original.
Nicely done
second, hour, day month and years between two. nice poem
A fine admiration of lasting love, and actual to our times. Good work. Thank you for sharing.
Nice piece, you gave us two without using the word. Great visuals in this. Congrats on a great poem.
