Great poem Anthea. You had me swaying and hearing music by the end of the piece. The pace increased the further I read and I loved that this wasn’t a rhyming poem but about how these 2 important building blocks of poetry make the lyrical words sing to us.

Hi Anthea, This is really good – looking at the two stalwarts of poetry from every direction. There are so many excellent lines but I particularly like: ‘Rhythm is the swing and the sway, the touch and the turn’. Excellent.

Hi Anthea, I love your marrying of rhyme and rhythm. Had never thought of them as working so well together. I wonder did you intend to suddenly have two rhyme and two rhythm lines together near the end?
