Great work on this one C…..you start off by painting a beautiful picture drawing us into a perfectly peaceful world and then your shift into the ‘what if’ has the reader come alive with a compassion to fight your (our) cause. Also your degree of alliteration leaves me in awe. Well done.

Your poem is very powerful and speaks its mind. I particularly like the line: ‘ Befriend life’s tree: Emulate her example – Listen to hear, Look to Understand, Live to Love’ – good advice, indeed. For me, perhaps there is rather a lot of alliteration but it does give the poem punchiness. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi C Alexis, Wow, ‘stewards indeed, are we and accountable’. Such strong emotional impact 🙂 Great job!

Wow, that is a huge stream of consciousness:) A very long poem indeed. I have to say it was very clever though. You used so much amazing alliteration and some fantastic onomatopoeia as well. I particularly loved your last few lines:
We are stewards of life’s tree
We share this privilege, prerogative
We are accountable, answerable
In life’s tree, WE personify symbiosis, synchronicity, community, collaboration.
A call to arms, so to speak.
Get off our butts and actually do something.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
